Honestly, most of my thoughts from the previous book—Rogue, Warrior, Princess—still remains true with this one. The only things of particular note is that this felt like it was going to be a solid resolution up until the very end, which I suppose is okay, considering there are 8 books in this series. Other than that, I just want to point out how Stephania got an entirely unexpected but appreciated subtle character arc and I’m fully here for it. She’s still recognizably the same person, she’s just had a change of goals. I really liked it. I’m excited to see where her character goes in later books.
